This study examined the effects of a high-protein diet, with and without strength training, on markers of oxidative stress and aging in older adults. The interventions were well tolerated, with participants in the high-protein group significantly increasing protein intake and showing no harmful changes in oxidative stress markers. While some sex-specific differences and environmental influences were noted, overall, the combination of a high-protein diet and resistance training did not negatively impact oxidative stress.
