The study aims to investigate the implementation of a nutrition therapy combined with an evidence-based training program in patients with knee osteoarthritis. The dissertation project of Sabine Chmelar analyses the effects of this therapy regime on nutritional status, oxidative stress parameters and inflammatory biomarkers. The consortium of the project NUMOQUA is a cooperation between the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences, the University of Vienna and the University for Continuing Education Krems. The study is funded by the Gesellschaft für Forschungsförderung Niederösterreich.
